I currently lecture in the SAGES program at Case Western Reserve University. My favorite neuro-psychological concept is synesthesia and my favorite color is salty. I like long walks by Lake Erie’s beaches in sunny Cleveland as well as scrubbing my feet with antibacterial soap. My goal in life is to find the ludic sense of literature and to refine my pedantry over the coming years through repeated use of terms like “ludic” and “pedantry.” Enjoy this blog with a grain of blue, please!
I am enjoying your postings (or maybe that’s too close to droppings, so posts?) but am wondering how you find the time to come up with such witty and insightful material.
Nice to hear from you Bev! My secret is that I write my original posts in monosyllabic grunts, and then my trained army of chimp editorial assistants (cea) interpret them into graceful, witty prose. In the humanities we call this the peer-review process. I hear you folks in the “sciences” have a similar process, but one that actually safeguards originality…making it not so similar after all (—egads! I apologize for the candor of this response. The cea squadron responsible has been sacked…perhaps I should just hire Ward Churchill). Cheers!
